Provider Credentials & Scope of Practice

Dr. Melissa Betance, ND, LDN, CNS is:

  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in Illinois and Florida, authorized to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
  • Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS).
  • Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND).

Note: Naturopathic medicine is not a licensed physician profession in Illinois or Florida. Naturopathic services provided here are offered as educational wellness consulting and do not replace medical care.

Services Provided

At Eudaimonia Sacred Health, services may include:

  • Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) – individualized nutrition assessment, dietary planning, metabolic health.
  • Functional & Preventive Health Consulting – lifestyle counseling, fitness optimization, recovery planning.
  • Homeopathy & Flower Essences – gentle support for emotional and energetic balance.
  • Wellness Education – educational interpretation of labs, supplement guidance, root-cause wellness strategies.

All services are designed to support optimal health and prevention, not to diagnose, treat, or cure disease.

Privacy & HIPAA

We follow all HIPAA privacy and security requirements.

  • Records are managed securely through Charm Health (HIPAA-compliant EHR).
  • Eudaimonia Sacred Health also follows Charm Health’s privacy policy.
  • You may request access to your records, corrections, or limits on disclosures.
  • Email and telehealth involve some privacy risks; we recommend secure portal communication for sensitive information.

Telehealth Policy

By using telehealth, you acknowledge:

  • Sessions may involve video/audio via HIPAA-compliant platforms.
  • Technology limitations (interruptions, connectivity) may occur.
  • Telehealth is not appropriate for emergencies.
  • You are responsible for ensuring a private, secure environment during sessions.

Financial Policies

  • Payment: Fees are due at the time of service.
  • Card on File: Securely stored for visits, labs, supplements, or cancellation fees.
  • Insurance: We do not bill insurance directly. A superbill can be provided for potential out-of-network reimbursement (not guaranteed).
  • Refunds: Completed services are non-refundable. Labs/supplements may follow vendor-specific policies.

Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Appointments must be rescheduled or cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Late cancellations or no-shows are billed at the full appointment fee.

Liability & Emergency Statement

  • Services are educational and wellness-focused. No specific outcomes are guaranteed.
  • Clients are responsible for consulting licensed medical providers regarding diagnoses, medications, or urgent care.
  • For emergencies, call 911 or contact your physician immediately.

Consent & Acknowledgment

By using services at Eudaimonia Sacred Health, you agree to:

  • The provider’s credentials and the described scope of practice.
  • HIPAA privacy policies and communication guidelines.
  • Financial, billing, and cancellation policies.
  • The educational nature of naturopathic consulting services.
